GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDER: Will, for a period of 18 months, reverse the current one-way restriction on Meeting House Lane from its current direction of south-west to north-east and change it to north-east to south-west. The Hampshire (Meeting House Lane, Ringwood) (One-way Traffic) Order 2021 will be suspended for the duration of this order.

THE HAMPSHIRE (MEETING HOUSE LANE, RINGWOOD) (EXPERIMENTAL ONE-WAY TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council made the above-mentioned Order on Tuesday 30th January 2024, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 9, 10(1), 10(2), 122(1) and 122(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.
General nature and effectS of the Order: Will, for a period of 18 months, reverse the current one-way restriction on Meeting House Lane from its current direction of south-west to north-east and change it to north-east to south-west. The Hampshire (Meeting House Lane, Ringwood) (One-way Traffic) Order 2021 will be suspended for the duration of this order.
DATE OF OPERATION: The order will come into force on Monday 19th February 2024 and will continue in force until Monday 18th August 2025.

(iii) Hampshire County Council Headquarters, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UJ (Opening hours: Mondays to Thursdays 8.30 – 5.15; Fridays 8.30 – 4.45)

APPLICATION TO THE HIGH COURT: Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Act, or that any of the relevant requirements of the Act or of any relevant instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, by Sunday 18th August 2024 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
