Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in Rushmoor area
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that Hampshire County Council, because of an urgent incident on or near the road, considers that the closure to the road mentioned below should come into force without delay.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Queens Road between its junction with Cambridge Road and a point approximately 60 Metres West of said junction.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:
Eastbound: Cambridge Road, Alexandra Road, Sandford Road
Westbound: Sandford Road, Alexandra Road, Perowne Street
DURATION OF THIS NOTICE: from 22nd August 2025 for a maximum period of 21 days or until completion of the Emergency Restriction whichever is sooner (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 15 days, and in operation for 24 hours a day).
The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Cappagh Contractors to carry out excavation in carriageway to replace a damaged pipe which has caused a sinkhole.
