The following road will be temporarily closed at some point over the next 6 months, with an expected start date of 13th January 2026.

Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in Test Valley area
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Roman Road between its junction with Yew Tree Lane and a point approx. 500m northeast from that junction.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Lockerley Road, Queenswood, North Walk, The Coach Road, Stony Batter Lane.
DURATION OF ORDER: from 13th January 2026 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 1 day, working between the hours 09:30-15:30).
The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Openreach to carry out overhead cabling works. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order or the associated works, please contact: [email protected]
