The following road will be temporarily closed at some point during the next 6 months with works expected to start on the 29th December 2025.

Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in New Forest area
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Main Road between its junction with two points both approximately 20m either side of Marchwood level crossing
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Main Road, Long Road, Travells Lane, Main Road
DURATION OF ORDER: from 29th December 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for the following days and times: 29/12/2025 23:00 - 31/12/2025 06:00 (each night) 04/01/2026 & 05/01/2026 22:00 (overnight) End Date: 29/12/2025 23:00 - 31/12/2025 06:00 (each night)

The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Network Rail to carry out maintenance works. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order, please contact: [email protected]
Network Rail will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
