TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES – HIGHTOWN ROAD & NOUALE LANE, RINGWOOD, NEW FOREST

The following roads will be temporarily closed some time during the next 6 months, with an approximate start date of 05/02/2026.

Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in New Forest area

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.

ROADS TO BE CLOSED:

1.     Hightown Road between its junction with Hightown Hill and its junction with Forestlake Avenue.

2.     Nouale Lane between its junction with Hightown Road and a point approximately 130 Metres North of said junction.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES:

1.     Hightown Hill, A31, Eastfield Lane

2.     A31, Eastfield Lane, Hightown Road

DURATION OF ORDER: from 5th February 2026 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner.  (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closures will be required for no longer than 1 day, working between the hours 09:30 – 15:30).

The road closures have been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Openreach to carry out renewal of DP47 CP1A works. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order please contact: [email protected]

Openreach will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
