TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES – VARIOUS ROADS, SWAY, NEW FOREST
The following roads will be temporarily closed some time during the next 6 months, with an approximate start date of 11/02/2026.

Amendment/disuse of church for worship or marriage from Hampshire County Council in New Forest area
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROADS TO BE CLOSED:
1. Chapel Lane between its junction with Pitmore Lane and its junction with Coombe Lane.
2. Shirley Holms Road between its junction with Pitmore Lane and its junction with A337 Southampton Road.
3. South Sway Lane between its junction with Sway Road and its junction with B3055 Birchy Hill.
4. Kings Lane between its junction with Pitmore Lane and its junction with Coombe Lane.
5. Pauls Lane between its junction with Coombe Lane and its junction with Pitmore Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES:
1. Pitmore Lane, Kings Lane, Coombe Lane
2. A337, Brockenhurst, B3055
3. Sway Road, Pitmore Lane, Back Lane, B3055
4. Pitmore Lane, Pauls Lane, Coombe Lane
5. Pitmore Lane, Kings Lane, Coombe Lane
DURATION OF ORDER: from 11th February 2026 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closures will be required for no longer than 6 weeks, and in operation for 24 hours a day. The closures will take place in phases and expected to be closed from, 11/02/2026 for 3 days for Chapel Lane, 16/02/2026 for 2 days for Shirley Holms Road, 18/02/2026 for 10 days for South Sway Lane, 02/03/2026 for 12 days for Kings Lane and 16/03/2026 for 12 days for Pauls Lane).
The road closures have been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for 4-site Fibre Ltd to carry out fibre works for Wessex Internet. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order please contact: [email protected]
4-site Fibre Ltd will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
