THE HAMPSHIRE (GORDON ROAD AND MORRIS ROAD, FARNBOROUGH) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING AND REVOCATION AND VARIATION OF ONE-WAY TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDER: will be combine and to make permanent the provisions of the “The Hampshire (Gordon Road, Farnborough) (Experimental Prohibition of Waiting and Suspension of One-Way Traffic) Order 2024” and “The Hampshire (Morris Road, Farnborough) (Experimental One-Way Traffic) Order 2024”. These orders had the effect of restoring normal two-way traffic on Gordon Road and to convert the existing No Waiting between 8.30am and 6pm on the south side of Gordon Road into No Waiting at Any Time to accommodate the two-way Traffic and to restore normal two-way traffic on Morris Road between a point 17 metres north of its junction with Lynchford Road and its junction with high street, which would retain the current no entry sign but allow access to Gordon Road from Morris Road. This permanent order would combine the two orders to revoke the one-way provisions as they appear in the principal orders and to amend the No Waiting restrictions as reflected in the above named orders.

Highways – Permanent Traffic Order Notices from Hampshire County Council in Rushmoor area

THE HAMPSHIRE (GORDON ROAD AND MORRIS ROAD, FARNBOROUGH) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING AND REVOCATION AND VARIATION OF ONE-WAY TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council made the above-mentioned Order on Tuesday 9th December 2025, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 1, 2, 4, 5, 122 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act, and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.

APPLICATION TO THE HIGH COURT: Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Act, or that any of the relevant requirements of the Act or of any relevant instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, by Friday 3rd April 2026  make application for the purpose to the High Court.
