Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in New Forest area
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that Hampshire County Council, because of works on or near the road, considers that the closure to the road(s) mentioned below should come into force without delay.
ROAD(S) TO BE CLOSED: that part of Christchurch Road between its junction with High Street and its junction with Christchurch Road
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Christchurch Road, Lymington Road, Milford Road, Downton Lane, Cliff Road, Park Lane, Westover Road, High Street
DURATION OF THIS NOTICE: From 19/05/2026 for a maximum period of 21 days or until completion of the emergency restriction, whichever is sooner (Notwithstanding the above, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 1 day/night working between the hours of 09:30 - 16:00).
Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
