Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in Winchester area
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that Hampshire County Council, because of an urgent incident on or near the road, considers that the closure to the road mentioned below should come into force without delay.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Whaddon Lane between its junction with Whites Hill and its junction with Thompsons Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Belmore Lane, Ashton Lane, Portsmouth Road, Hurst Road.
DURATION OF THIS NOTICE: from 22 June 2026 for a maximum period of 21 days or until completion of the works whichever is sooner (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 14 days, and in operation between 0800 & 1600.
The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Multevo to carry out carriageway repairs.
