NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that Hampshire County Council, in connection with works to be carried out on or near the road, considers that the closure to the road mentioned below should come into force without delay.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Ancient Road (locally known as Lower Pennington Road) between its junction with Keyhaven Road and its termination.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: None available, access will be provided for residents.

DURATION OF THIS NOTICE: from 13 July 2026 for a maximum period of 5 days or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner (Notwithstanding the above, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 5 days).

The Temporary Road Closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to permit European Active Projects Ltd on behalf of the Environment Agency to carry out repairs to the structure of a sluice located adjacent to the public highway.

European Active Projects Ltd will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
