TRAFFIC ORDER PROPOSALS – NO WAITING AT ANY TIME, RESTRICTED WAITING & DISABLED PERSONS PARKING PLACE ON WATER LANE, DIBDEN PURLIEU
GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDER: Will be to: (i) implement a Disabled Persons Parking Bay on the north-west side of Water Lane between a point 23 metres north-west of its junction with Peartree Road and a point 12 metres north-west of that point. (ii) the Disabled Persons Parking Bay, above will result in a 4 metre reduction of ‘No Stopping School Keep Clear markings to the west of Orchard Infants School, the extent of which will now be the north-west side of Water Lane between a point 35 metres north-east of its junction with Pearteee Road and a point 19 metres north-east of the entrance to Orchard Infant School. (iii) implement No Waiting at Any Time restrictions on Water Lane as described below: (a) North-west side between a point 22.5 metres south-west of its junction with Peartree Road and a point 15 metres south-west thereof. (b) North-west side between a point 1.5 metres south-west of its junction with Peartree Road and a point 23 metres north-east of that junction, an approximate distance of 29 metres. (c) South-east between a point 22.5 metres south-west of its junction with Peartree Road and a point 14 metres south-west thereof.

TRAFFIC ORDER PROPOSALS – NO WAITING AT ANY TIME, RESTRICTED WAITING & DISABLED PERSONS PARKING PLACE ON WATER LANE, DIBDEN PURLIEU
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council (“the Council”) proposes to make the above-mentioned Order, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 51, 53 and 122 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act, and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.
General nature and effects of the Order: Will be to:

All objections must state the grounds on which they are made. Under the requirements of current access to information legislation, any statement you make to the Council in response to this Notice may be made available to the press and to the public, who would be entitled to take copies of it if they so wished.

APPLICATION TO THE HIGH COURT: Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Act, or that any of the relevant requirements of the Act or of any relevant instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, by 2026 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
