The following roads will be temporarily closed some time during the next 6 months, with an approximate start date of 07/09/2026.

Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in Test Valley area
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROADS TO BE CLOSED:
1. Green Lane between its junction with Highwood Lane and its junction with Pound Lane.
2. Pound Lane between its junction with A3090 Winchester Road and its junction with Flexford Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES:
1. Highwood Lane, Halterworth Lane, A3090, Pound Lane
2. A3090, B3043, Baddesley Road, Flexford Road
DURATION OF ORDER: from 7th September 2026 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 4 weeks, and in operation for 24 hours a day. It is expected that the roads will be closed in phases with Green Lane closed 07/09-19/09 and Pound Lane closed 21/09-02/10).
The road closures have been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for MGJV to carry out installation of new water main. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order please contact: [email protected]
MGJV will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
