Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in New Forest area
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that Hampshire County Council, in connection with works to be carried out on or near the road, considers that the closure to the road mentioned below should come into force without delay.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Hightown Hill between its junction with A31 Picket Hill and its junction with Milky Down Back Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Hightown Road, Eastfield Lane, A31
DURATION OF THIS NOTICE: from 2nd September 2026 for a maximum period of 5 days or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner (Notwithstanding the above, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 1 night, and in operation between the hours 21:00 – 06:00.
The Temporary Road Closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Kier Infrastructure to carry out resurfacing works.
Kier Infrastructure will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
