Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in Test Valley area
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that Hampshire County Council, in connection with works to be carried out on or near the road, considers that the closure to the road mentioned below should come into force without delay.
ROADS TO BE CLOSED: that part of Winchester Road & The Cross between its junction with New Lane and its junction with Church Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A3057, B3049
DURATION OF THIS NOTICE: from 15th September 2026 for a maximum period of 5 days or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner (Notwithstanding the above, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 2 days, and in operation between the hours 09:00 – 16:00.
The Temporary Road Closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to replace manhole covers in the carriageway.
McAllister Bros Ltd will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
