Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in New Forest area
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that Hampshire County Council, because of an urgent incident on or near the road, considers that the closure to the road mentioned below should come into force without delay.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Burley Street between its junction with Coach Hill Lane and its junction with Picket Plain Common.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A31, A337, Gosport Lane, A35, Station Road, Wilverley Road, Ringwood Road
DURATION OF THIS NOTICE: from 3rd October 2026 for a maximum period of 21 days or until completion of the emergency restriction, whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding the above, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 7 days, working 24/7).
Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
