Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in Winchester area
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that Hampshire County Council, because of an urgent incident on or near the road, considers that the closure to the road mentioned below should come into force without delay.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of East End between its junction with Compass House and its junction with Honeysuckle Cottage
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: High Street, East End, West Meon Road, Church Lane, The Hyde, East Meon Road, A272, A32
DURATION OF THIS NOTICE: from 6th October 2026 for a maximum period of 5 days or until completion of the emergency restriction, whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding the above, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 1 day, working between 18:30-06:00).
Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
