The following road will be temporarily closed at some point over the next 21 days, with an expected start date of 30th October 2026.

Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in Basingstoke and Deane area
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that Hampshire County Council, because of an urgent incident on or near the road, considers that the closure to the road mentioned below should come into force without delay.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Basingstoke Road between a point approx. 425m south from its junction with Sheepwash Lane for a distance of approx. 150m south.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A339, Lloyds Lane, Ewhurst Road.
DURATION OF THIS NOTICE: from 30th October 2026 for a maximum period of 21 days or until completion of the emergency restriction, whichever is sooner (Notwithstanding the above, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 8 days, and in operation for 24 hours a day).
The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for SGN to carry out emergency gas escape repairs. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order, please contact: [email protected]
