Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in New Forest area
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that Hampshire County Council, because of an urgent incident on or near the road, considers that the closure to the road mentioned below should come into force without delay.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Mount Pleasant Lane between its junction with Sway Road and a point approx. 375m northwest from that junction.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Sway Road, Pitmore Lane, North Common Lane
DURATION OF THIS NOTICE: from 30th October 2026 for a maximum period of 5 days or until completion of the emergency restriction, whichever is sooner (Notwithstanding the above, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 5 days, and in operation for 24 hours a day).
The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Kier to carry out repairs to a burst pipe. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order, please contact: [email protected]
Kier will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
