Help with the cost of living

Introduction from the Leader of Hampshire County Council, Councillor Rob Humby

"We are living in uncertain times, and while we have a level of assurance that fuel bills will be contained until April 2023, we know that many are struggling - some significantly - facing exceptionally difficult choices about how household budgets are spent this autumn and winter.

The County Council will continue to press Government, on behalf of the people of Hampshire, for additional hardship support for families, and will be doing all we can, working alongside our district and borough council partners, and the voluntary sector, to help local residents cope with the worry about basic day-to-day living costs.

In the meantime, we wish to ensure that residents in Hampshire are taking full advantage of the public services already available, from warm spaces in libraries and hot school meals, to expert advice on heating your home and options to help reduce fuel bills."
