3. SCHOOL ORGANISATION PLAN 2001/02 - 2005/06 (Copy herewith)

To consider the draft plan together with any objections received following the expiry of the objection period on 8th August, 2001.

4. PROPOSED SCHOOL FOR BOYS WITH EMOTIONAL AND BEHAVIOURAL DIFFICULTIES IN THE PREMISES OF SUNDRIDGE PUPIL REFERRAL UNIT

Further to the publication of notices on 2nd February, 2001, detailed consultation has been taking place with the temporary governing body of the school, regarding the implementation of the proposal. As a result of this, the governing body has requested that the implementation date be modified to January, 2002. This is to enable proper time for the appointment of a headteacher and other staff to take place in advance of implementation. The Local Education Authority agrees with this request.

RECOMMENDATION:

That the implementation date be modified to January, 2002.

5. THE WATERLOO SCHOOL : PROPOSED CLOSURE OF BOARDING HOUSE

No objections were received in response to the public notices published on 2nd April, 2001 and accordingly the Local Education Authority has determined to implement the proposal as set out in the Notice.

RECOMMENDATION:

That the Committee note the action taken by the Local Education Authority.
