1.1. The following decision is sought:

1) That the following Members are agreed as County Council representatives to local community safety partnerships:

Councillor P A Pierce Test Valley Borough Council Councillor Mrs PG Banks New Forest District Council

Councillor Mrs MD Snaith Fareham Borough Council

Councillor M S Geddes Gosport Borough Council

2. Reason

2.1 The County Council is a statutory partner with the police and District Councils in all 11 local district based community safety partnerships in Hampshire. Support is provided at officer level through nominated link officers, but it is felt important to take an active role in the partnerships at Member level.

2.2 The nominated Members are those who will be supporting the Executive Member on local strategic partnerships for community planning purposes and it makes sense for the Members to take on both roles, given the close links between the two areas of work.
