To consider a report of the Chief Executive setting out the provisions of the Constitution insofar as they relate to Policy Review Committees.

2. BEST VALUE ROLE AND PROGRAMME FOR THIS COMMITTEE (Report herewith)

To consider a report of the Chief Executive outlining the County Council's approach to Best Value, the five year programme and the current review programme for this Committee.

3. BEST VALUE REVIEWS - PROGRESS REPORT (Report herewith)

To consider a report of the County Education Officer giving details of Best Value Reviews currently under way.

4. TARGETS FOR DELEGATION TO SCHOOLS FROM APRIL 2002 AND CONSULTATION PROPOSALS (Report herewith)

To consider a report of the County Education Officer and County Treasurer, and to make recommendations as appropriate to the Executive Member for Education.

County Councillors attending as appointed members of this committee or by virtue of Standing Order 17.5; or with the concurrence of the Chairman in connection with their duties as members of the Council or as a local County Councillor qualify for travelling expenses.

Appointed and co-opted members similarly qualify for payment of travelling expenses.
