To appoint a Chairman for the meeting.

2. EXCLUSION OF PRESS AND PUBLIC

RECOMMENDATION:

That, by virtue of Paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 12A of the Local government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following item.

3. APPOINTMENT OF INDEPENDENT MEMBERS

To consider the recommendations of the Members nominated to interview applicants in respect of the appointment of two Independent Members to Hampshire Police Authority. The interviews were held on Thursday 26 July and the notes of the meeting are attached.
