1. Summary

1.1. The following decision is sought:

That for the time being no Member be appointed to represent the County Council on the John Nowes Foundation, Romsey, but that the Chief Executive pursue with the Foundation's Clerk and the Charity Commission the best means of achieving its objectives..

2. Reason

The former Education Committee appointed Councillor Mrs E.S.M. Barron to continue as the County Council's representative, but she has declined the nomination. A replacement would ensure continued involvement by the County Council at member level in the affairs of the Foundation.

- Taking no action;
