To consider a report of the County Education Officer on arrangements for responses
to the Government's consultation papers on school governance and early years
education and child care.

6. EXAMINATION RESULTS 2001 (Report herewith)

To consider a report of the County Education Officer on the examination results
achieved by Hampshire pupils in the last academic year.

7. EXCLUSION OF THE PRESS AND PUBLIC

RECOMMENDATION:

That by virtue of paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 the press and public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of Item 8 below.

8. WORKFORCE PLAN UPDATE (CONFIDENTIAL) (Report herewith)

To consider a confidential report of the County Education Officer on progress with and amendments to the workforce plan for the Education Department.

County Councillors attending as appointed members of this committee or by virtue of Standing Orders 12(e) or 27; or with the concurrence of the chairman in connection with their duties as members of the Council or as a local County Councillor qualify for travelling expenses.

Appointed and co-opted members similarly qualify for payment of travelling expenses.
