1. Summary

1.1 The following decision is sought:

That the following members be appointed to represent the County Council in the Admissions Forum until the annual meeting of the County Council in May 2005:

Councillor Mrs P.A. West, Councillor Jo Kelly and a nominee from the Liberal Democrat group. (Councillor Mrs. A.E. Bailey subsequently notified).

2. Reason

2.1 The former Education Committee appointed three Councillors, one from each political group, to act as the County Council's representatives on the Admissions Forms. This exists to provide a means of communication with the other admissions arrangements and timescales between these authorities. Of the Members formerly appointed, one was not re-elected in June and one has resigned. The remaining Member of Councillor Mrs P.A. West. The Admission Forum has carried out valuable co-ordinating work and the County Council has benefited from participation.
