1. APPOINTMENT OF CHAIRMAN

RESOLVED:

That Councillor Dr. J.G.L. Wall be appointed Chairman of the Committee for this meeting.

2. EXCLUSION OF PRESS AND PUBLIC

RESOLVED:

That, by virtue of Paragraphs 7 and 12 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from this meeting.

3. DOMICILIARY CARE ACCREDITATION

The Director of Social Services presented a confidential report concerning an appeal against the decision of the registration and Inspection Unit to refuse an application for registration on Hampshire's accredited list of domiciliary care providers. The appellants also attended the meeting and made representations.

RESOLVED:

That the recommendation not to grant an application for registration on the Hampshire accredited list of domiciliary care providers be approved but that the appellants be invited to re-apply for registration following consultation with the Director of Social Services.
