To consider a report of the Chief Executive setting out the terms of reference for the Panel to be agreed by the Executive Member for Education on 23 November 2001.

4 COUNTY YOUTH OFFICER'S REPORT (Report herewith)

To consider a report of the County Education Officer; referring in particular to the County Action Plan 2001/02; Youth Service summer activities; Hampshire County Youth Council; Best Value and Connexions.

5 YOUTH SERVICE WORK IN EAST HAMPSHIRE DISTRICT

To consider a report of the County Education Officer detailing Youth Service work in East Hampshire District and the significant achievements and key issues that are being addressed.

6 PROJECT DEVELOPMENT GRANTS 2001/02 (Report herewith)

To consider a report of the County Education Officer summarising project development grants applications received since the last meeting and recommending to the Executive Member for Education allocations totalling £7,075.

7 PEER TRAINING (Report herewith)

To consider a report of the County Education Officer outlining the purpose of peer training and how it can be used to effectively inform and educate young people about issues that affect them and highlighting a successful project in Hart and Rushmoor.

8 COMBINED YOUTH JUSTICE COMMITTEE - MINUTES (Copy herewith)

To receive the Minutes of the meeting of the Combined Youth Justice Committee held on 26 September 2001.

9 DATES FOR FUTURE MEETINGS

Members are asked to note the dates, times and venues of meetings in 2002:-

· 12 March 2002 at 2.15 p.m., Rushmoor


· 2 July 2002 at 2.15 p.m., Test Valley


· 12 November 2002 at 2.15 p.m., Fareham

County Councillors attending as appointed members of this Panel or by virtue of Standing Order 17.5; or with the concurrence of the chairman in connection with their duties as members of the Council or as a local County Councillor qualify for travelling expenses.
