1. Summary

1.1 The following decisions are sought:
That approval be given to the attached design project appraisal for the extension, reorganisation, repair and refurbishment of St Bede CE (C) Primary School, and the removal of temporary buildings from site following receipt of New Deal for Schools (NDS) funding for their removal.

2. Reason(s)

2.1 To reinstate St Bede CE (C) Primary School following flood damage during the winter of 2000/01 and provide permanent replacement accommodation.

3. Other options considered and rejected

3.1 Building a new school on a different site. Various other options have been considered regarding the repair and improvements required to reinstate the school buildings on the existing site.
