1. Summary
1.1. The following decision is sought:
that a Member be appointed to represent the County Council on the John Nowes Foundation, Romsey for a short-term period to enable a meeting of the Foundation to be held with a view to its being wound up.
2. Reason
2.1. The Foundation has been inactive for some years and the most effective use of its resources would be for it to be wound up and the funds made available for use by schools in Romsey. The appointment of a County Councillor would ensure that a valid meeting can be held and the objective achieved.
