1 Summary

Summary information is appended for noting the outcomes of Best Value Reviews completed in year 1 of the five year programme.

2 Reasons for the recommendations

At the Cabinet meeting on 29 October 2001 it was agreed that a brief summary of the Year 1 review outcomes would be presented to Cabinet, to meet the Best Value and Performance Sub-committee request for information, made on 26 February 2001.

3 Other options considered and rejected

To allow the Policy Review Committees to monitor provision of outcome information during their annual review of improvement plans.

Future Best Value Review outcomes will be reported to Cabinet via the development of the Best Value Performance Plan. This was rejected for Year 1 reviews because of the prior Best Value and Performance Sub-committee request and because of the current year production timetable.
