NOTE: In the case of items 4, 5, 6, 7 and 9 above, the text of the report and essential information are enclosed for Members. The appendices are in all cases voluminous, and copies have been made available to the Executive Member for Education; the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Education Policy Review Committee; the Liberal Democrat and Labour Group Spokesmen; and in addition copies have been placed in all the Members' Rooms where they will remain available for inspection. Item 8 (Education Training Agency) is reasonably concise and is therefore attached in full. In the case of all the Best Value Reviews, there is a separate summary sheet which sets out the key points, main recommendations and costs.

County Councillors attending as appointed members of this committee or by virtue of Standing Orders 17.5; or with the concurrence of the chairman in connection with their duties as members of the Council or as a local County Councillor qualify for travelling expenses.

Appointed and co-opted members similarly qualify for payment of travelling expenses.
