1. TERMS OF REFERENCE OF COMMITTEE (Report herewith)

To consider the report of the Chief Executive which reminds Members of the background to the establishment of the Committee by the County Council in September 2002, and its terms of reference.

2. UPDATE ON PAY AND BENEFITS PROJECT (Report herewith)

To consider the report of the County Personnel and Training Officer on progress with the pay and benefits project agreed as part of Employment in Hampshire County Council.

3. EXCLUSION OF THE PRESS AND PUBLIC

RECOMMENDATION:

That, by virtue of paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for consideration of the following items.

4. OVERALL PAY STRATEGY (Report herewith)

To consider the confidential report of the County Personnel and Training Officer which considers the factors affecting the County Council's ability to recruit and retain staff and in particular reviews the position of Council salaries in relation to the wider market.

5. A-G SALARY REVIEW (Report herewith)

To consider the confidential report of the County Personnel and Training Officer which considers the national and local pay data which is relevant to the annual pay review for staff on Hampshire Grades A-G.

County Councillors attending as appointed members of this committee/sub-committee/panel or by virtue of Standing Order 17.5; or with the concurrence of the Chairman in connection with their duties as members of the Council or as a local County Councillor qualify for travelling expenses.
