Amendments to the Hampshire Police Authority Crime Prevention Panel Members' Guide

Report of the Consultant to the Panel

1. Introduction

1.1. At its special meeting on 3 December, 2001 the Members of the Panel debated the issues contained within the discussion document shown at Appendix 1 to this report.

1.2. In consequence of the decisions made at that meeting amendments have been made to the current members guide and an amended version is produced at Appendix 2 to this report.

1.3. In addition the opportunity has been taken to update the application form in accordance with the proposed amendments to the guide and a number of other administrative steps have been taken to ensure greater compliance with the deadlines for applications and improve consultation with divisional commanders.

RECOMMENDATION:

That the new Hampshire Police Authority Crime Prevention Panel Members' Guide be approved and form the basis for the consideration of applications in the future.
