1. Summary

1.1 The following decisions are sought:

That approval be given to:

1. use 100% of the capital receipt from the sale of part of the existing cottage towards the new accommodation at Salterns Cottage, Lymington, in accordance with Regulation 99 of the Capital Finance Regulations 1997;

2. negotiate a contract with Everest Construction Limited to complete the building work.

2. Reason(s)

2.1 The retention of the capital receipt from the sale of part of the existing cottage will part fund the construction of the new cottage.

2.2 The negotiation of this contract will enable the provision of the new accommodation as quickly as possible with a contractor who has a proven track record of high quality work on Hampshire County Council sites.
