1 Summary

1.1 This report covers a report to the Education Policy Review Committee on
22 January 2002, summarising progress on the implementation of the action
plans for the seven first year Best Value (BV) reviews.

1.2 The PRC agreed with the recommendations to the report that satisfactory
progress had been made in implementing the action plans and that in future,
members involved in the BV review would review progress against action
plans with the lead officer, before a report was made to the PRC.

2 Reason

2.1 This report seeks the Executive Member's agreement that:

a) Satisfactory progress had been made in implementing the action
plans of the seven first year BV reviews

b) Lead officers will discuss progress on implementing action plans
with members involved in their review before future reports are
presented to the PRC.
