1. Summary

1.1. At the last meeting, the Committee requested that a report assessing the implications of new constitutional arrangements on County and Unitary Councils for the conduct of business of the committee be undertaken. This report sets out the revised terms of reference to incorporate changes following the Local Government Act 2000.

2. Terms of Reference - Modifications

2.1. The amended terms of reference are attached at Appendix 1 and have been slightly modified to take account of changes to the constitutional arrangements following the Local Government Act 2000. The terms of reference have also been amended to reflect the new Health Authority to be established from 1 April, 2002.

RECOMMENDATION:

That the modified terms of reference be noted.
