1. Summary
1.1 The following decision is sought:
That the package of schemes and the way forward detailed in the attached report to the South West Hampshire Transportation Panel on 7 March 2002 be approved.
2. Reason
2.1 In August 2000 consultants WSP were appointed to carry out a study into the transport needs for the Hedge End area in support of the Hedge End Transport Strategy. The strategy is funded from various developer contributions (Section 278 Agreements) and this funding has been allocated to projects within the strategy. These projects have been prioritised by Members of the County Council, Eastleigh Borough Council and the Hedge End, West End and Botley Local Area Committee. Approval is sought for the packages and the way forward identified in the attached report in order to progress these projects with W S Atkins.

3.1 No other options have been considered.
