You are hereby summoned to attend the Annual Meeting of the County Council to be held at The Castle, Winchester at 10.00 a.m. on THURSDAY
16 MAY 2002 to consider and resolve upon the business set out in the Agenda below.
There will be a short service of prayer at the beginning of the meeting.
AGENDA
1. Election of Chairman - to hold office until the Annual Meeting of the Council in 2003.
2. To confirm the Minutes of the meeting held on 28 March 2002 .
3. Appointment of Vice-Chairman to hold office until the Annual Meeting of the Council in 2003.
4. Deputations: ?
5. To receive such communications as the Chairman may desire to lay before the
Council.
6. To receive such reports as the Leader of the Council may desire to bring
before the Council.
7. To deal with questions pursuant to Standing Order 20 (b) (i).
8. Review of the Constitution - to consider the report of the Head of Corporate and Legal Services and Monitoring Officer in the light of views expressed at the Members' Seminar following six months' experience of operating the new constitutional arrangements.
9. To consider a report of the Chief Executive concerning appointments and proportionality on committees and panels; and to make such alterations in the membership of outside bodies as the Council may think fit.
10. To receive and consider reports and recommendations of the following
requiring decision (Part I) and to make such orders thereon as the Council
shall see fit:-
