1. Summary

1.1 The following decision is sought:

- to approve the County Council's response to the Government's Green Paper.

2. Reason

2.1 A paper was submitted to the Policy and Review Committee meeting held on 21 May 2002. This paper is given as appendix 1 and outlines the main issues contained in the Government's Green Paper and gives details of the issues identified by the County Council as being of particular importance.
