1. The budget for allocation to ad hoc crime prevention projects in 2002/03 is £201,000. This increase represents an underspend from last year of £31,000. Of this figure £4,700 was allocated to crime prevention projects in 2001/02 but has not yet been paid out to the organisations concerned. Refunds were also received of £5,630 from two organisations. Funding allocated to projects during 2001/02 totalled £162,310.

2. A report elsewhere on the agenda deals with the Panel's responsibility for allocating annual grants previously agreed by the full Authority.

3. The schedule items attached gives details of 15 individual applications which, if approved at the maximum required, would total some £77,000. The amounts recommended by the Consultant total £63,050.

4. Members are asked to consider each individual application and aware an appropriate level of grant according to the Panel's existing guidelines.
