To consider the report of the County Planning Officer on the Report of the Policy Commission on the Future of Farming and Food and the subsequent Government consultation document entitled, "Sustainable Food and Farming". (This item was deferred from the meeting held on 27 May 2002.

4. COUNCIL TAX PAYERS' ENQUIRIES ABOUT THE 2002/03 BUDGET

To consider the report of the County Treasurer which summarises statistics on the letters and telephone calls received as a result of the County Council's 2002/03 council tax and budget.

5. MEMBERS' ATTENDANCES AT CONFERENCES AND SEMINARS - APRIL - JUNE 2002 (Report herewith)

To consider the quarterly report of the Chief Executive on the approvals by the Chief Executive, after consultation with the Leader of the Council or other appropriate Executive Member, of Members' attendances at conferences and seminars.

RECOMMENDATION:

That, by virtue of Paragraph 9 of Part I of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for consideration of the following item.

7. PERSONNEL AND TRAINING PRIORITIES (Report herewith)

To consider the confidential report of the County Personnel and Training Officer which identifies the current position on the main activities of the Personnel and Training Department.

8. NURSING CARE INVESTMENT STRATEGY (Report herewith)

To consider the confidential report of the Director of Social Services and the Director of Property, Business and Regulatory Services on the demand for additional registered nursing home capacity arising from current deficits, anticipated future market changes, service trends and demographic changes.
