2. ANALYSES OF THE LOCAL EDUCATION AUTHORITY STATISTICAL PROFILE (Report herewith)

To consider a report of the County Education Officer summarising the Office for Standards in Education (OFSTED) statistical profile for Hampshire in standards achieved by pupils in the County at the end of Key Stages 1, 2, 3 and 4. The report also provides information taken from the Ofsted inspections carried out in schools in Hampshire.

3. SUPPORTING DEPARTMENT DEVELOPMENT IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS: EVALUATION OF WORK UNDERTAKEN IN 1999/2000 (Report herewith)

To consider a report of the County Education Officer describing the outcomes of support for departments in secondary schools carried out by subject inspector/advisers, as part of the Education Development Plan.

4. NATIONAL KEY STAGE 3 STRATEGY - EVALUATION OF MANAGEMENT OF IMPLEMENTATION IN HAMPSHIRE LOCAL EDUCATION AUTHORITY (Report herewith)

To consider a report of the County Education Officer evaluating the structures and processes put in place initially by schools in 2001/02 to manage the implementation of the Key Stage 3 Strategy.

5. MONITORING, SUPPORTING AND CHALLENGING GOVERNANCE (Report herewith)

To consider a report of the County Education Officer detailing the systems and processes in place to monitor, support and where necessary, challenge the governance of Hampshire County Council's maintained schools.
