A meeting of the Strategic Planning Joint Advisory Panel will take place on Tuesday

25 June 2002, at 10.00 am, in the Conference Room, Ashburton Court, The Castle, Winchester, when your attendance is requested.

For the benefit of new Members, a copy of the Panel's Terms of Reference are enclosed for information.

1. APPOINTMENT OF CHAIRMAN

To appoint a Chairman of the Panel for the ensuing year.

2. MINUTES (Copy herewith)

To confirm the Minutes of the meeting held on 8 February 2002.

3. HAMPSHIRE COUNTY STRUCTURE PLAN: POLICY H4 MONITORING PAPER (Report herewith)

To consider a report of the Hampshire County Planning Officer, Portsmouth City Planning Officer and Southampton Executive Director of Development and Sustainability detailing the conclusions of a Monitoring Paper published in April 2002. The paper assesses whether or not there is a need to release any of the reserve provision of land for housebuilding under Policy H4 of the Hampshire County Structure Plan 1996-2011.

4. HAMPSHIRE COUNTY STRUCTURE PLAN MONITORING REPORT 2002 (Report herewith)

To consider a report of the Hampshire County Planning Officer, Portsmouth City Planning Officer and Southampton Executive Director of Development and Sustainability which details the conclusions arising from the first Annual Monitoring Report of the Hampshire County Structure Plan 1996-2011.

5. ROLL FORWARD/REVIEW OF THE STRUCTURE PLAN: THE NEXT STAGE (Report herewith)

To consider a report of the Hampshire County Planning Officer, Portsmouth City Planning Officer and Southampton Executive Director of Development and Sustainability which addresses the next steps to be taken in respect of the roll forward/review of the Structure Plan.

6. DATE, TIME AND VENUE OF NEXT MEETING

To arrange a date, time and venue for the next meeting of the Panel.

County Councillors attending as appointed members of this committee or by virtue of Standing Order 17.5; or with the concurrence of the Chairman in connection with their duties as members of the Council or as a local County Councillor qualify for travelling expenses.
