9. MINUTES

The Minutes of the meeting held on 29 May 2002 were confirmed as a correct record.

10. EXCLUSION OF THE PRESS AND PUBLIC

RESOLVED:

That, by virtue of paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for consideration of the following items.

11. CORPORATE PAY AND BENEFITS PROJECT/PERFORMANCE RELATED PAY/PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

The Cabinet received a detailed presentation from Mr. J. Matthewman of Mercer HR Consultancy on issues relating to the corporate pay and benefits project, performance related pay, and performance indicators. The Committee asked that further work be carried out based on principles covered in discussion with a report back to a meeting of the Committee in September on a date to be agreed [Summary of Minute which contains confidential information].

12. MEMBER PERFORMANCE ISSUES

The Committee discussed Member performance issues and it was agreed that an approach should be developed in consultation with the County Council's consultants, with a report back in due course. [Summary of Minute which contains confidential information].
