1. In 1998/99, as part of the Improving Local Governance Initiative, Hampshire County Council and Test Valley Borough Council set up the Highways Information Group comprising local County Members and an equal number of Borough Council Members. The group met quarterly to exchange highways maintenance and network management information.
2. The Highways Information Group last met on 18 February 2002 and this Panel has now replaced it. At that meeting Members raised several issues that required follow up action. The action points arising from the meeting are detailed in the notes, attached as Appendix 1. A summary of actions and responses to the issues raised is attached as Appendix 2.
Recommendation
That the report be noted.
