1. The Chairman has asked that a timetable of future activity be drawn up and set out as listed in the schedule attached. Set out below in the normal way are the key-decisions which may be made by the Executive Member on behalf of the County Council over the next four month period.

2. As indicated in the Constitution at Part 3: D Para 1.9 any Member can give notice to the Chief Executive that they wish a relevant item to be placed on the Agenda for the next Committee. The following process is recommended. On receipt of such a request, provided sufficient notice is given, the Chief Executive will incorporate the issue as a line item on the Agenda. Otherwise, the request will be raised verbally at the meeting. The Committee will at the meeting discuss whether or not the item should be subject to a full report from the appropriate Chief Officers. This gatekeeping process is suggested in order to avoid Chief Officers expending resources, compiling reports at the request of one Member which the Policy Review Committee itself does not consider necessary to discuss. Any reports requested will be presented to a future meeting of the Committee on a date to be agreed.

3. The key-decisions which may be made by the Executive Member for the period September - November 2002 are set out below. Those items which the Committee have asked to comment upon are marked with asterisks and are listed within the enclosed timetable.
