1 MINUTES AND MATTERS ARISING (Copy herewith)

To confirm the Minutes of the meeting of the Committee held on Tuesday 9 April, 2002.

There are two matters arising from the minutes relating to minute no's 56 & 59 respectively. Under the Education (School Organisation Proposals) (England) Regulations 1999, the SOC is able to set a condition on an approval, but must specify a date by which the condition must be met. The Local Education Authority has suggested that as both projects are in the 2002/03 Capital Programme the date of 31 March, 2003 should be given for the conditional approvals. Accordingly the SOC are asked to agree to the insertion of the words "before 31 March, 2003" in the text and resolution in minute no's 56 and 59 respectively.
