Solent Mead - Extension and Refurbishment of Day Centre

Summary

1.1

The following decisions are sought:

That approval be given to the attached design project appraisal for the extension and refurbishment of the existing Day Centre at Solent Mead home for older people, Lymington.

1.2

That approval be given to the negotiation of this contract with Brazier Construction.

Reason

2.1

To provide a Day Centre to accommodate up to 20 users per day in the Lymington area.

2.2

Brazier Construction is progressing well with the current scheme on this site and has a good working knowledge of the site and the specialist requirements for working at this particular establishment. This approach will provide continuity and will enable price and cost certainty at an early stage.
