Representation on the MOMC Trust Limited and the MOMC Leigh Park Crafts Initiative Trust Limited

1. Summary

1.1. The following decisions are sought:

That Councillor Mr. Chapman be appointed as the County Council's representative on the MOMC Trust Limited Board of Directors.

That Councillor Mrs. Allbright be appointed as the County Council's representative on the MOMC Leigh Park Crafts Initiative Trust Limited

2. Reasons for the Recommendation

The MOMC Trust and the MOMC Leigh Park Crafts Initiative Trust Limited have each requested representation by a Member of Hampshire County Council to become a board member of their organisations. Councillors Mr. Chapman and Mrs Allbright are recommended for the respective organisations.

Councillor Chapman is the local member for Basingstoke; Councillor Mrs Allbright is the local member in Havant and both are the main and deputy spokespersons for the arts and would be suitable representatives. These are regarded as appointments to an outside body and the decision is therefore a matter for the Executive Member to determine.

3. Other options considered and rejected - not making an appointment. This is not recommended as it would result in the Council having no representation on this body.
